If clean beauty makes you feel like dancing, you’re not alone. Dancer, Ilia Jessica Castro, aka, Jessica, is making it hard for us all to stay calm with so much gorgeous, colorful, skin-loving goodness everywhere you look. And the good news? Retail therapy is just as delicious online.
As a dancer for nearly 22 years, Jessica has toured with the biggies from Rihanna and Beyonce to Mariah and The Black-Eyed Peas and recently choreographed a performance by the Jonas Brothers for the 2020 Grammys. Just wow!
All the while inspiring us with her other many passions, her smile and her gorgeous clean beauty.
Let’s chat with Jessica – spreading the joy and busting a move for clean beauty on our behalf with the help of the mastermind producer behind the camera, Redha Medjellekh.
Tell us everything starting with “What’s your favorite candy, aka, clean beauty product(s)?”
Jessica: I don’t eat candy. Lol…but I do adore the mascara by Ilia. Funnily enough, that’s my first name.
Truth be told…we all want to be you in this video…it looked like you are having so much fun.
Jessica: Redha has a huge personality and we literally couldn’t stop laughing the entire day even when we took some outdoor shots in the freezing cold…still laughing.
What are the passions that keep you going in a time like no other?
Jessica: My daughter and my online artist community bring me joy and keep me going. Most of my friends, including myself, have been teaching free online classes (yoga, dance, fitness, Pilates). It helps me release any tension I’m carrying.
I also mentor a lot of aspiring dancers with a twice a year intensive called “League Of Her Own” for women taught by the industry’s most powerful females where students are surrounded by outstanding women with over 20 years industry experience.
I feel it’s important to pass it forward as I have had so many amazing women in my life that have helped me get to where I am now.
What’s your desert island absolute favorite makeup product?
Jessica: I really love the “Ilia” makeup line. I’m a dancer and I sweat a lot on stage. It has great coverage. And it’s clean.
