5 Easy Holiday Looks You'll Want To Copy

Happy Holidays and let’s emphasize what really matters…everything. But not all at once. Let your lips do the talking and try so many ways to let your eyes steal the night…and the spotlight!

Here’s how to put the sparkle in your holidays with a little help from Teressa, our Makeup Merch Manager. Let’s get the look that gets the looks.

1. I believe... in winter flush and bold red lips

Fa la la la lips. Sometimes all your outfit needs is a little lip service. Don’t be surprised if they don’t notice your dress.

Teressa's Take:

What I love about this look is that it has all I need for a cozy, nostalgic I-just-happen-to-be-under-the-mistletoe holiday look.  At the end of the day, nothing beats a winter’s flush cheek with a classic red lip and Ilia's Tango is one of my new favorite reds.  It’s rich and neutral, looks great on all complexions and lasts for hours.  If you know you like an orange-hued red, I really like Thrillest from Kosas, and for those of you who love a blue-hued red, No 21 from Y et Beaute is for you.

2. I believe in... statement eyes and joyful smiles

If you do one thing right - right now…nail the art of the smoky eye. It’s easier than it looks and everyone from blue to brown to green or in-between can pull off the sultry look. Bat away and steal the night.

Teressa's tips:

Navy smokey eyes are a subtle twist on a classic that is both elegant and approachable. The Lily Lolo Palette in Aurora is made for this night-sky look with a base of Midnight Sun, creased and cornered with Blue Moon and a final touch of Gold Star in the inner corners and dabbed in the middle of my lid with my ring finger.  Then I line the outer third of my upper and lower lids with an eye pencil, like Kjaer Weis in Blue and use Jenny Patinkin’s Line + Smudge brush to add smokiness to the lower lid with the Blue Moon shadow.

Smokey eyes love big, bold lashes and Ilia’s Limitless lash is up to the task! It has a two-sided brush – one side is meant to add fullness to your lashes and the other is meant to separate and lengthen.  I start by curling my lashes and then I use the hourglass side of the Ilia brush to coat my lashes and make them look super thick and dense and then I spin the brush around to the longer, straight bristles to add length and fan out my lashes.

3. I believe in... metallics and ice and everything nice

Nothing third place about this look. Sometimes silver and gold get trumped by a warm, shimmery bronze. Day or Night!

Teressa's Trick

Start by applying a cream bronze shadow like Gressa’s Bronce, all over your lid and then smoke the same color beneath your lash line on your lower lid.  Next, using Rituel de Fille’s Celestial Sphere Eye Eye Soot in Fornax, start in the inner corner of your eye lid with a dense smudge brush and press and twist the color up and towards the center of your lid.  Lightly smoke Fornax beneath your lids starting in the inner corner and working your way toward Bronce until your lower lid matches your upper.

4. I believe that all that glitters is gold

A timeless option for classic beauties looking for a sophisticated look with a shimmery twist. The hero here: your highlighter.

Teressa's crush

During the holidays (okay, every single day), I have zero self-control when it comes to highlighter.  The more, the merrier, right? I love cream highlighters because they can be tapped on for a soft candle-lit glow or built to full-on light-refracting bliss.  And during the holidays, nothing beats a gold highlighter, like Rituel de Fille’s Rare Light Luminizer in Stellaris.  Using my ring finger, I tap highlighter along my cheek bone toward my temples in a curved C shape.  Then I tap it down the bridge of my nose from where it meets my forehead to the tip of my nose.  Finally, I tap some into my chin just above where the padded part starts.  For extra special days, I tap it along my cupid’s bow to add some definition and make my lips pop.

5. I believe in... icy gloss and pink, pink, pink!

Sleek, simple and dewy. Try something new. A swipe of gloss for a luminizing glow that rivals the holiday shimmer and shine. Add sequins and gorgeously go.

Teressa's recs

Monochromatic looks are effortless and oh-so-feminine and the high-gloss finishes of this one will be stunning in the twinkling lights this season. Jillian Dempsey’s Eye Tint in Dew will give you a perfectly glossy lid every day, but to amp up the mono-chromatic look, use an eyeshadow beneath it or a little bit of your PYT blush.  Finish it off with your favorite gloss and dab a cream highlighter, like RMS Magic Luminizer, along your cheekbones, down the center of your nose and in the center of your chin. Because, you know, shine like the universe is yours.
