In a perfect world we’d get plenty of sleep, relax more, and stress a lot less. We’re always searching for ways to live better. Essential oils can greatly benefit your overall health and wellness regimen. It’s a simple and natural way to help put your mind and body at ease. Apply to pulse points or just inhale some deep breaths. Do it on the go or during dedicated meditation times. The beauty of these treatments is you can do it pretty much anywhere and most of them are multi-taskers. Stash these pocket-sized bottles in your bag, desk, medicine cabinet and bedside table to refresh and reset anytime.

Here are some suggestions to stock (or restock) your oil remedies:

deMamiel Altitude Oil is a blend of lavender, eucalyptus, pine, fragonia, peppermint, lemon myrtle and patchouli oils, chosen for their energizing and antiseptic qualities. “It is a wonderful remedy for stuffy heads, whether you have the beginnings of a cold or the office air conditioning has been super-drying. Some other examples of uses are: if traveling on any form of public transport, dab some under your nose or on your hands; put on your pillow, if you cannot sleep or have a cold; sprinkle into the bottom of the shower if you wake with a stuffy head; pop a few drops in a humidifier.” — Annee de Mamiel, founder

21 Drops Sleep blend compliments any evening routine to enhance a good night’s sleep. Sandalwood, vetiver, palmarosa and ylang ylang are great essential oils to quiet the mind and settle the nervous system to relax into slumber.” — Cary Caster, founder

Tata Harper Aromatic Irritability Treatment is for those days when you just have to make your own sunshine! When you're irritable, feeling low on patience and positivity, this will help change your mood. “The oil can be applied to pulse points on the wrists and neck, and for an instant boost apply some to the palm of your hands, rub together to heat up the oils, and close your eyes and inhale from your palms for a minimum of five deep breaths. That gets the scent molecules up and into your limbic system, which controls your mood and feelings. It contains bergamot, which is very cheering, and Roman Chamomile, which is calming and comforting, and patchouli, which stabilizes the mood and helps to reduce tension. Overall, it's a happy, calming blend, and the scent is really beautiful.” Tata Harper, founder

Zoe Organics Refresh Oil is a wonderful natural remedy for the whole family. Peppermint and ginger essential oils are a great pick-me-up for tired parents and are also comforting when experiencing nausea due to morning sickness, motion sickness or tummy aches.” — Heather Hamilton, founder

H Gillerman Organics Tension Remedy relieves headaches in a flash, melts away neck tension and more. To clear sinuses, wake up or focus, put a drop or two on a tissue and hold up to nose and inhale. Kick up your pedicure routine by tapping a few drops on the tip of cotton swab and run it around the nail bed to increase circulation (after polish has dried). “Reduce tummy bloating on the spot by placing 4-6 drops (depending on skin sensitivity) in a circle around your belly button and smooth in with one light stroke—no need to massage,” Gillerman explains. “If you have sensitive skin, coat your abdomen with a light, unscented body oil first. We often scrunch our necks when we put on makeup,” Gillerman continues. “After makeup application, tap two drops on either side of your neck, up close to the base of your skull. Do not rub the oil in. In a few minutes you will feel a tingling sensation.”

The dynamic healing properties of pure plant extracts are undeniable. “I've found that aromatherapy is a powerful, natural way to improve everyday living,” says Tata Harper. “They're harmonizing, balancing and healing. I use my treatments daily and keep diffusers around my house and office to create certain scents and moods depending on the space. The best thing about them is that they work. The effects are instant and completely good for you.”
