What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

balm no. 0 netto: Nourishing to the lips and comforting on a stuffy chest and tired temples.
balm no. 1 clear: Can be used as a lip conditioner, but has also been used to acclaim on split ends, flyaway hair, grooming eyebrows and beards, and conditioning cuticles, elbows and dry patches.
balm no. 2 French melon: Perfect for summer′s sunny skin. Lovely for both lips and cheeks.
balm no. 3 crimson: Great for lips and cheeks.
balm no. 4: Best used on lips and cheeks.
balm no. 5 currant: Try on lips and cheeks.
balm no. 6 bronze: Can be used to highlight your lips and face. Balm no. 7 blush shimmer: Wear on its own for a subtle brightening on lips, brow bones or cheeks. Or, layer it over any of our other tinted balms for a deeper look. (Note: this product is recommended to be used with our No.2 or No.3 balms)
balm no. 8 persimmon: This balm will give your cheeks and lips a subtle wash of warmth that is stunning on its own and layered with No. 6 - our bronzing shimmer balm.

Unfortunate ingredient

"I love these balms, and have 2 other shades- both withOUT titanium dioxide listed on ingredients. This color, Berry,, is my favorite color , but unfortunately it is not really “clean” - it has titanium dioxide listed, identified as a carcinogen by the WHO. I assumed this brand would never use this ingredient, so I ordered the Berry shade without knowing. So many “clean “ lip tints have titanium dioxide, and it should be removed."
