What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Very moisturizing for dehydrated skin

"I don’t drink enough water, I hereditarily have dry skin and find in warmer, more humid climates my skin THRIVES. NYC water and weather, however, constantly has me layering 18 million products in hopes that my shin doesn’t look like I’ve never used lotion a day in my life. This lotion isn’t waxy, moisturizes AND hydrates my skin to the point where it feels soft to the touch several hours after application. It works supremely alone, but — again, she a dry girl— goes to another level with Cyklar Milky Essence underneath. So if your legs and feet look like they unjustly carry the lines and lives of a thousand redwood trees and elephant legacies give this a go. Also, a little chemical exfoliants (Cyklar Glycolic Acid & Necessaire Retinol) never hurt anybody."

"I’m Erika, I have been a licensed cosmetologist in the state of NY for 13 years. I love everything from skincare, to hair care, makeup, and everything inbetween!I’m very picky with lotion, as most make me itchy, dry my skin out, or just don’t help my skin. I have KP on my arms and legs, and they get really itchy after hot showers, or if I use something super fragrances and irritating. I found this lotion to be hydrating, without making my skin itchy or make me feel greasy. It has a nice butter soft texture that instantly absorbed and didnt get all over my clothes. My skin felt nourished, hydrated and way softer than it had before. It also didn’t make me itchy or wanna scratch at my skin at all. Definitely recommend for anyone with dry skin, or KP"

"I revived this product in exchange for my honest review. I grew up having really bad eczema and sensitive skin so I’ve always been on the hunt to find lotions that accommodate my skin. Also that are scent free. The follain lotion is perfect for my skin! It has no fragrance which is a huge plus! Sometimes lotion with fragrance is too much for my skin so I’m super glad this one aims for sensitive skin users and they left it without fragrance. The lotion absorbs super easy into the skin also and has a milky color to it. It’s perfect for quick hydration or if you want to soak your skin after a bath! This is my new go to for lotion which like I said is hard to do for me so I really love it! If you’re a sensitive skin girlie this one is 100000% for you!"

Follain Body Lotion by Credo

"This is a review for the Follain Body Lotion by Credo. This body lotion comes in a beautiful lavender shaded tube with dark green lettering. I might be biased as purple is my favorite color, but I was immediately attracted to the tube because it is so pretty and I love having it on my vanity. The actual lotion is really nice. It goes on very smoothly and absorbs nicely. I love that it is fragrance free. It is also supposed to be formulated for sensitive skin, and as someone with extremely sensitive skin, I was very, very impressed that I did not get any negative reaction at all! That is very rare for me with body products! My main down side to this product is the size. It is only 6 fluid ounces and I honestly would go through this tube very quickly."

"I loved using this product after my showers! It blends to your skin so smoothly and seamlessly! My skin felt moisturized immediately and stayed that way for a whole 24 hours! If you don’t like scented body care or additive ingredients this product is perfect for you! Although it is “non-scented” I got a minor plastic-y scent. I’m not sure of this was a shared experience but definitely put me off trying to use it right away. However once added to your skin you don’t smell a thing! Very refreshing and rejuvenating for my sensitive skin and I’d really enjoyed my experience after getting past the original smell test. Not too oily compared to competitors and love the idea of using this product right after the shower to get the most use of the product!"

"This body lotion is absolutely amazing! It’s made with shea butter so it’s very hydrating for my skin. I struggle with fairly dry skin and usually need fragrance free products because I’m expecting and am normally just sensitive to different fragrances anyways. This is very thick! The only reason I took off a star is because it takes a bit of work to get it rubbed in all the way so it doesn’t leave a white cast. I usually put it on after my shower when my skin is still a bit damp so it can seal in some extra moisture. My skin feels so soft the next day! I love the packaging too it’s a beautiful shade of purple. I’ve been looking for a body lotion that measures up like this one so I will definitely be purchasing this one when it runs out! I’m in love!"
