An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Apply to eyelids using fingertips or a brush like the RMS Skin2Skin Everything Eye Polish Brush. Begin at the center of the lid and blend outward. Fast-drying so blend swiftly.

From Rose-Marie: “Matte eyeshadows can look dry and hard, so I wanted to give these a slight matte pearl finish that has a gorgeous subtle brilliance to it while feeling soft like cashmere. The colors are on the softer side as well, inspired by classic 1950s pastels. I imagined how this collection of matte eyeshadow would look so modern and heavenly paired with glowy skin and a matte lip. We infused them with organic green tea and natural peptides to nourish the lids and even though these shadows are matte, the color won’t crease. They pair really well with our original Eyelights too, creating a beautiful 3D effect when layered together.”

Nice product color not expected

"The cashmere matte eyelights is beautiful. It’s a dream to apply. A little goes very far. Just like Rose Marie says, start with a very small amount in the middle of your eyelid and then blend out. I got the color Tundra Taupe which, on me, wears pretty warm. I am fair/light skin with cool/neutral undertones. I was hoping for a bit more of a mauve/rose color but it’s more orange leaning. I’m not sure if it looks good on me."

Beautiful colors, doesn't stay on my lids

"I got this in the shade mallo coast. I like how easy it is to apply with my fingers. This shade is the perfect neutral color for my brown eyes. However, only giving this 3 stars because it doesn't stay on my oily lids. Also it dries down really quickly (which I do actually consider a pro!), but it means that sometimes application is a little patchy."

Beautiful Base

"I've decided the best way for me to use the cashmere matte eyelights is as a base to which I add a dab of the regular eyelights. Used alone, the matte can make my eyes look a little tired by the end of the day, but as a base it helps control the color of the regular eyelights, helps prevent fading, and evens out the tone of my eyelids. I rotate colors depending on the season and how much extra pop I want."

"Mountain mist is a gorgeous color, versatile, sets my hazel eyes off- so stunning! I put a little on my hand, use my finger to apply with a little tapping, then smudge out, no fussing, and my eyes are done! It’s cooling to the touch, hydrating, dries fast and lasts all day. My routine is now just faster, eyes look sultry, and less crepey. I can’t wait to try another color and LOVE the aluminum tube 🌎"

I absolutely enjoying and LOVE

"I absolutely enjoying and LOVE all products from RMS I recently ordered: lip glosses, eyeliner, brow liner and I was looking forward to testing the Cashmere Matte Eyelights as well. Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. Whether I applied it with my fingers or a brush, it felt like a soft clay texture that get absorb into the skin that disappeared on the skin immediately. I had to layer it several times just to see a hint of color. . I very much appreciate the creamy, clean formula, but I expect a bit more payoff and staying power. It's just not my favorite from the collection."

Love Dusty Trail.

"I absolutely love Dusty Trail. It is the perfect colour, and goes on smoothly with no patchiness. It is really fabulous. I know some of the other colours in this finish may be patchy, but not this one. It is the perfect go to, and have been wearing it daily since it arrived. It is a one and done, but looks even more super when paired with the eyesights in moondust. It really makes my green eyes pop."
