What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Best applied to towel-dry, damp hair. Emulsify a dime sized amount of the product into your palms and spread to your fingers, then apply evenly to head and hair. Finish styling with your hands for a natural look or comb through for a more stylized look.

Pro-tip

Use Bonus: there is no need to wash your hair before bed as the ingredients are good for hair and scalp, and noncomedogenic.

"I bought this along with the volcanic clay to test both. Each have very redeeming qualities, but this one specifically is great. Although it’s labeled as the most flexible hold, it hold my hair in place just enough and more than anything, it doesn’t have the shine or stiffness that other pomades have, which I was trying to avoid. Also, I just love that it’s a cream rather than a gel, wax, or traditional pomade. Highly recommend giving it a try!"

"This is a very light formula, a heavy mousse, if you like. With that said, it is good for creating texture and volume throughout my hair as well as creating pieces in my bangs. It won’t hold for too long though if I touch my hair, which is inevitable. Good, light smell, which is what I wanted."

Very Impressive

"As someone who has been using certified organic and natural products for more than 40 years, I know my way around these kinds of products. I am very impressed with all of these hair products: the shampoo and conditioner bars, as well as the coastal promade. The rescue run with some of these organic dry products is that they can be very drying and since I have beautiful silvery hair they contain to be dry, these products make matters worse. Not the case with these. My hair is dancing. My face is smiling. My frizziness is elsewhere and I couldn’t be more happy!"
