An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

"A little background here —I am 48 with mature very dry skin. I am always looking for more moisture and hydration. I was recommended this cream by a makeup artist friend and I cannot put into words how glowy and supple my skin looks. Immediately it feels so plump and hydrated, even in the dead of winter when it’s normally so hard to retain moisture. The texture of this moisturizer is like no other! Very creamy, but not heavy or too thick and it sinks into my skin without feeling weird. I do not need very much, just about a dime size on damp skin and it goes along way. "This is one of my favorite moisturizers, which is shea butter-free and goes on very smooth and truly lasts all day. I have extremely dry and sensitive skin and this is literally the only moisturizer at credo that I've really liked because it's so long lasting, but without being too thick. Highly recommend!"

This moisturizer exists

"In contrast to all the raving reviews here, I found myself underwhelmed by this moisturizer. It did not feel moisturizing - the texture was oddly tacky and sticky, and did not feel hydrating for my combination skin. The scent was indeed very cocoa-like, which I found pleasant but disconcerting - I don't exactly want or need my skin to smell like chocolate! The incredible glow, radiance, and all other benefits mentioned in the other reviews - I didn't experience any of that at all. It left my skin unchanged, no better and no worse, which is probably as honest and straightforward a skincare review you'll find."
