In 1792 Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars was a pioneer in French botanical history. During the French revolution, he was exiled to Madagascar, La Reunion and the Mauritius islands where he discovered a vast array of plant specimens. Ten years later and bearing a collection of over 2000 plants, Louis Marie was finally able to return to France where he was elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences.

"I am a fragrance enthusiast and began to switch to predominantly clean fragrance about a year ago. I love Maison Louis Marie and own a few of their perfumes and perfume oils. I was very excited to see that they released body mists, as I hadn’t seen a clean one yet. While I’ve heard amazing things about Fruit de Dragon and Fleur de Vanille, I can’t even smell Fleur de Passion after I immediately spray it. I asked my husband if he could smell it, and he couldn’t either. I did enjoy the dispenser, as it dispenses quite a fine mist. While I appreciate the light pink bottle and the dispenser, unfortunately I can’t really say much to the fragrance itself. I will be trying the other hair and body mists in store and hopefully picking up another scent! "

Light, very light.

"I love the idea of a light and refreshing hair and body fragrance mist, but in reality it left a good bit to be desired. The scent is mild and pleasant, but it really doesn’t have much of a payoff and doesn’t tend to linger beyond the very moment that it is sprayed. The texture is soft and lightly smooth which I really appreciate when applying a body-care product during the warm and humid months. I wish the scent was a tad stronger because I’d love having a spritz of this type to spray in my hair when I need a pick me up, since I only wash my hair every handful of days or so. The packaging is nice and the product easily dispenses, so I really do like that aspect. All in all, it is fine if what you’re seeking is a super subtle scented spritzer."
