What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.

Usage

- Soak your hair and scalp with warm water to open the cuticle and help the shampoo lather.
- Dispense a quarter-size amount (adjust for hair length) into your palm and emulsify slightly between your hands.
- Work into the scalp using your fingertips for 1–2 minutes to cleanse and boost circulation.
- Let the lather travel through the lengths; no need to rub the ends.
- Rinse with lukewarm water until hair feels clean.
- For extra buildup or after styling products, we recommend a second wash.

Moisturizing and Affirmatively Helps Hair Shedding

"I was getting some shedding that was freaking me out a little and tried Bur Bur. It really seems to help mitigate the shedding and my hair definitely feels thicker. It is very moisturizing so, if your scalp is oily, you may want to use only a small amount with a lot of water. If your scalp is dry, this is going to be your go-to forever. I used it with the matching conditioner so I am not sure if one or both together are responsible for the voluminous hair, but I am pretty happy with the results. Also love that it's vegan and plastic-free!"

Cannot recommend…

"After washing, my hair feels like dried wheat. Their conditioner is just as bad. It’s practically impossible to get a comb through my hair even when it’s loaded with conditioner. It in no way “refreshes, softens or supports “ my hair which was healthier prior to using these products. FYI, I have thick, fine hair."
