What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Start by tracing the Cupid’s bow (the center of your top lip), ensuring balance. Slightly overline if you want extra volume.

Trace outward along the natural edge of your lips to meet the corners.

Define the bottom lip, starting at the center and working outward.

Fill in your lips using the liner alone, or pair it with matching lipstick or gloss.

Sharpen as needed for clean, precise lines.

Pro-tip

For a precision overline, draw an X at the cupid's bow and connect to outer corners

A very pretty berry lip liner!

"Morado. 02 is such a good rich berry, rich and bold with a little berry vibe to it. Goes on smooth, no tugging, and doesn't dry out my lips like some liners do, which is rare for a shade this deep. Packaging is good too. I love the gold pencil with the silver cap, doesn't feel cheap at all. Only con is the staying power is not the best. Ate lunch and had to touch it up after. Not a dealbreaker for me though, the color payoff makes up for it. Would repurchase. Great shade if you love statement lip."

Smooth pigmented liner

"This lip liner glides on very smoothly and is also very pigmented so a little goes a long way. The color is orangish red - definitely a more warm color versus a cool tone. This color would work on many different skin tones and could be a great bold lip for the summer for any occasion. It’s perfect for drinks with friends or could be used as a red lip for a formal event. This lip liner can also be used as a lipstick if product is added to the center of the lips as it smudges well. It is long wear too!"

"The AORA Mexico Hablame Lip liner is truly a gem! The lip liner glides on smoothly without smudging.   I love the creamy texture and how it stays in place for hours!! The benefits are definitely worth making a staple in makeup bag for sure. Let's talk about the formula being enriched with Vitamin C & E, this made my lips feel soft and hydrated. The pigmentation is excellent, very bold and beautiful, I would definitely be purchasing more colors. Who doesn't love a variety of great products. Highly recommend!!"

"This berry shade is just perfect for my beautiful brown undertones. I can layer it up with almost any of my favourite lipstick and it looks just perfect. The lip pencil is of great quality. Glides very very smoothly. Easily sharpens with a sharpner. I wouldnt mind buying all the shades in it. Its beautiful and it makes my lipstick stay almost all day long. I totally recommend this lip liner for literally all the skin tones and lip colours. its just amazingly beautiful. the price is perfect and easily available on sephora"

Berry beautiful

"I don’t have anything like this in my lip liner collection. I usually stick to browns, but I wanted to give a bold liner a try first once. Right off the bat, absolutely smooth application. Glides on so effortlessly. I didn’t have a lipstick to go with it, so I figured why not just use it to fill in my lips entirely. I absolutely was not mad at it. It didn’t leave any splotchy marks upon application whatsoever. I will say this does tend to transfer fairly easily so please keep that in mind. I 100% recommend giving this lip liner brand a shot."

"I love love love this lip liner!! The packaging is great. The cap stays on in my bag and doesn’t come off, which I find happens a lot with other lip liners. It applies very smoothly, and the application is very easy, it isn’t difficult and it doesn’t get messy. It applies evenly. It stays in place all day and does not smudge. The color is excellent and complements my super pale skin very well. I love that it contains vitamins c & e, that’s just an added bonus. All in all this is an excellent lip liner that I would definitely purchase again!"

"I was given the AORA Mexico HÁBLAME Longwear Creamy Lip Liner with Vitamins C & E in Rosa. 05 - nude pink to try. My first impressions were that the product box was pretty, but then I saw it was a traditional pencil and not twist. Not a serious thing, but I don’t own a sharpener, so it’s not convenient for all buyers. The product itself is nice! It’s pigmented, and glides on smooth. This is a shade that I would normally go for, and I really liked it. For me the only downside is that it’s not a twist pencil, but again that’s just a personal preference."

Flattering Pinky-peach nude everyday liner

"I really like this lip liner in the shade Rosa. 05. The peachy pink color is very flattering and goes well with both nude and pink lipsticks. The formula is creamy, so it glides on smoothly without tugging on my lips, and it’s easy to get a precise line. Once applied, it stays in place for several hours and helps keep my lipstick from feathering. I also like that it contains Vitamins C & E, which makes it feel comfortable instead of drying. Overall, it’s a great everyday lip liner with a pretty shade and good staying power. I’d definitely use it again."

A great lip liner

"I was able to try the HÁBLAME Longwear Creamy Lip Liner pencil in rich berry which is a dark berry shade. The longwear part is definitely true, I applied it in the morning and it lasted all day long without me having to reapply. The pencil glides easily and the tip did not break or flake. I love the seamless blend it has with my lipstick, it was subtle yet noticeable. I also paired it with a clear gloss for a little extra lining and it worked well with that product as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easyto use lip liner with a seamless finish."
