An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

Hannah Diop is the founder and CEO of Sienna Naturals. To create Sienna Naturals, Hannah harnessed the values of her upbringing and skills of her business background. She spent weekends researching ingredients found in nature and proven by science to improve wellness outcomes for textured hair and scalp. Working alongside cosmetic chemists, she made, tweaked and tested product formulations until a line of clean products that significantly outperform competitors was born. Hannah Diop, holds an MBA from Wharton and was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company where she worked for clients in big box retail and OTC Pharmaceuticals.  Hannah is also a mother of two young children and is proud to lead a company that is more than 80% BIPOC and woman-led. She lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Slimey, leaves your hair a grease-ball

"Nope! Really wanted to like this shampoo but the texture is super slimey and unfortunately it left my hair equally super slimey. Doesn't matter how many rounds of shampoo I apply and rinse well, my hair is always a complete greasy mess after using this. Perhaps for someone with really curly, coily hair it could work, but if you have medium to fine straight hair, don't waste your money. I couldn't even finish the whole bottle, it was a complete waste."

Best Shampoo

"My hair is extremely curly and knots easily which makes shampooing a a real task. Until I use a heavy duty conditioner I would never be able to run a wide tooth comb or even my fingers through even while still wet. But with this product, I don’t need any conditioner to comb through it. I couldn’t believe it after my first experience. I just ordered my second bottle of it. It lasts a long time."

Didn't feel like it was actually cleaning my hair

"I have thick wavy hair which has a tendency to be greasy near the roots and dry at the ends. This shampoo did not work for me as I felt even though it lathered nicely, I never actually felt like it cleaned my hair. I felt I was having to wash my hair twice as often because it was never getting fully clean. My friend who was staying with me who has straight hair, tried it she felt the same as well. I couldn't finish the bottle so I gave it to my mom who has very curly hair and she struggles with dryness. I think it will work better for her as it is a very moisturizing shampoo. Sad it didn't work for me but feel optimistic for her and her hair type/need."

Wrong shampoo for my hair - skip

"I wanted a natural shampoo but this was clearly not the right shampoo for my hair type (I'm Asian with straight black hair) and I wish the salesperson notified me of this. It left a sticky, gross residue on my hair no matter how many times I rinsed it. I tried it multiple times to see if my hair needed to get used to it and it was a bust, and Credo wouldn't take it back which was annoying."
