epres is committed to being fragrance transparent and uses, Vanillin, the exact ingredient listed, that scents the shampoo and conditioner. Because Vanillin is naturally derived, some color variation in the product is normal, and you may notice a slight deepening over time. Fluctuations in temperature can also affect the conditioner's appearance, but not performance.
