What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

- For volume: Apply evenly on damp hair at the root then blow dry in sections.
- To style a sleek look: Wet hair, apply desired amount of Hymn and use a stiff brush to guide hair into place.  Finish with Ever Recovery Oil.

Pro-tip

Hymn can be used to define curls, add volume to straight hair or create hold for a sleek style.

"Love the texture, smell, does not leave residue, it reactivated with watter and not stiky at all, i have sensitive scalp and it works great on my curls and it layers great with my other brand products, Medium hold!"

Sofia c. (5/5)

Lightweight hold, not sticky

"Love this gel. The hold is lightweight, makes my short, slightly curly hair soft and shiny."

Toni R. (5/5)

Almost perfect

"Not sticky and easy to apply. Starts out crunchy but softens up with time"

Melanie A. (4/5)

Not for me

"I liked the smell, but the gel dried crunchy and made my hair straight, and lifeless."

Emily M. (3/5)

Good

"My husband was skeptical, but he loved it! The best he has tried so far!"

Mariana M. (5/5)

Great hair gel

"Great hair gel! Has a nice hold and last throughout the day."

Marlene M. (4/5)

Great for curly hair!

"I've loved using this for my curly hair, it smells great and holds my curls well when I finish with diffusing it!"

Dorie S. (5/5)

Smells good

"Not too over powering in scent; works really well, can be re-wet when dried down. Can also be used in softer styling. Great, modern take on a gel."

shelby w. (5/5)

Natural hair gel.

"I have long, dark curly-wavy, semi course hair that is about 1/4 grey. It's hard to find a great clean ingredient hair gel but this one is pretty darn nice. I have to use a bit more than I thought at first but it does give decent hold to air dried hair. It leaves a cast that is easily scrunched out once my hair is dry, leaving my hair shiny. And it doesn't cause any itching or dryness to my sensitive scalp or skin."

Regina C. (4/5)

I love it!

"I love this gel! I have fine 2b/2c hair and it helps with definition and volume without weighing it down. It does leave a cast, which I break up using Rake. And, like all Reverie products, it smells amazing. For all those who don't like the smell of Reverie, sometimes the first use smells a bit like alcohol or medicinal, but I think this is because it's been sealed for a while. After that first use, it should smell much better and less strong. Give it some time :)"
