What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Gently sweep shadow across the lid for a diffused look. For a bolder look, press product onto lid and build in layers.
To clean:
Dampen bristles.
Massage a mild soap into bristles and rise with warm water.
Lay flat until fully dry.

A little bit stiff, use only if you're doing high level eye shadow looks.

"I've bought a lot of Ilia brushes, and I've realized that unless I'm doing a full face, there are some I just don't need. I prefer the Ilia blending brush for most of my eye shadow looks, and although this brush works well, it feels slightly hard and stiff on my eyelids when I'm using it. I'd recommend it for people who do eyeliner, smoky eye, or big dramatic looks because of the tapered head and various ways to use it. Easy to clean, fragrance-free bristles. If you want something basic, use the other brush."
