An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.

Usage

Apply to the affected area, massage until absorbed. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water. Use within 6 months of opening. We keep La Baume in our back pocket for chapped lips, dry skin patches, cuticle oil, and have even been known to use it as a highlighter on the cheeks or a gloss on the eyes.

Great multi-use balm

"I originally tried this from a gift bag with purchase and just bought another one. This is a great balm that I keep beside my bed and use on my feet, elbows, lips, and I also use it on my dogs’ noses, ears and paws. It is the only balm that they don’t rub off immediately and has helped hydrate my 15 year old dog’s nose and soothe my reactive dog’s ears. Price is great."

Effective product but package needs improvement

"I have mixed feelings on this product. It does what it advertises, but the packaging is really problematic. The product is so thick that I struggle to squeeze the correct amount out of the tube, particularly in the winter when the product is cold and my hands are sore with arthritis. I think it would work so much better in a tub where you could rub out the correct amount. In addition, my tub was gritty. Once I worked with it, the grittiness began to disappear, but again, my hands are sore and chapped so I would prefer that I didn't need to do this to begin with. The product does work and my hands are feeling a lot better, but I think the design of the delivery could be improved."

"This product feels like a nontoxic alternative to aquaphor. I got it for my daughter eczema. It is very moisturizing. I use it on top of her lotion to help seal in the moisture. But I think it works better on my dry skin than it does in her flare ups unfortunately. I still use it but it doesn’t make her eczema go away or anything."

"This is my second purchase, and I can't see not always having this on hand. Great for any dry spots, I also use this on my lips and nails. The miracle is a split nail that would not heal for over 5 years. When I started rubbing this into my nails nightly, the nail finally grew out and has not re-split. Love that is isn't petroleum based."
