An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.

Usage

- Use the flat side of the ILIA Sculpting Brush (sold separately) to pick up product.

- With a brush or fingers, gently press into skin where the light naturally catches—tops of cheekbones, tip of the nose + chin, brow bone, and cupid’s bow.

- Layer for more intensity.

"I needed a ton of product to get any sort of result. Plus, the results are nowhere near what the photos look like. I can barely see it even after applying loads of product. It mostly just looks like I caked something on my skin and doesn't give a very good highlighting effect. It also irritates my eyes even though it's not going in my eyes. . . I guess because it's so close to the eye area. The packaging was also bulky and annoying."
