An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Glowy with a moisturizer

"I wasn’t sure what to do with this the first time I purchased but now I’ve bought it multiple times. I typically mix with my moisturizer as a glowy all over prep for whatever comes next - base, concealer, tinted SPF. If I’m feeling tired or washed out I may and a little for highlighter. Even underneath the glow comes through. I’m not a heavy makeup person. I get so many compliments on my skin. Not bad for 59 and counting!"

"It pains me to ever give a negative review to RMS. They are always batting 1000 as far as I’m concerned. But in this case, the lightest shade was still way too dark for my skin. And I must say it also did not look nearly as light in the jar as it did on the picture."
