What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Spray onto all exposed skin and clothing. Don’t skip any spots, those little buggers are sneaky!

Avoid spraying directly on your face (nobody wants bug spray in their eyes). Instead, dispense some onto your palms and gently apply to your face and neck.

Don’t use on cuts, wounds, irritated, or sunburned skin.

Reapply every 4 hours (for ticks) and every 8 hours (for mosquitos).

Pro-tip

For the best protection, rub it in with your hands to make sure everything is evenly coated.

I think it works

"I’m allergic to mosquito bites so it’s important to me to use a bug spray before going out, and sometimes even indoors. I really use a generous amount and spread it around all my skin to increase the coverage. A fair amount is required to really work, though. I’m rating a 3 because for the generous amount that is needed to use, the smell isn’t great. Though the scent is significantly less intense than other natural bug sprays I’ve tried."

This is a no.

"Very greasy! If you spray on your head to keep bugs off your scalp, your hair will look greasy. Any particles that land on furniture/etc, will be greasy & this WILL stain shirts with oil. Also, does not repel mosquitoes well for my family, we still had a lot of bites even though we doused ourselves in the spray. While sitting on my deck, a tick was crawling towards me, even while I was totally covered in the spray. Wouldn't repurchase."
