What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Warm 1-2 pumps between hands and apply to dry face. Add warm water and massage into a delicate milk. Rinse clean. May also be used with a cotton square to remove makeup, no water or rinsing required.

Pro-tip

For a deeper cleanse and light exfoliation, apply to skin, then press a warm washcloth to face and let cool. Rinse and repeat.

"My skin loves this stuff, and it smells deliciously of pineapple! It gets all of my makeup off and cleanses without stripping, although if I’m removing makeup I prefer to double cleanse with this and the pai foaming cleanser. My only complaint is that I have to use two pumps to cover my face, neck, and decoletage without pulling on my skin. For that reason I go through it really quickly and have to replace it pretty much once per month. Worth the investment so far, but I’ll keep my eye out for a more economical alternative."

"I'm truly shocked by all the positive reviews on this. The texture was really weird and slimy compared to other oil cleansers I've used and the smell was disgusting. Very overly sweet and weird - like skittles left out in the sun. It also didn't remove water proof mascara. Maybe I got a bad batch but I'm going back to other products that were more effective, less slimy and better smelling."

Is it okay to use this like a regular face cleanser and not follow up with another cleanser?
Hello! Yes, for sure! If you wear heavy makeup or SPF, we recommend a double cleanse, but it is certainly not always necessary :)
Is this a good cleansing oil for removing mineral sun screen such as suntegrity?
This is a great cleansing oil to remove your mineral sunscreen and makeup. You can use it alone or as the first step in any double cleansing routine.
Is this travel friendly? Does it come with a "lock" for the pump? Thanks!

Hi! The fragrance/parfum is not a synthetic fragrance. One Love only uses ECOCERT certified blends of 100% natural origin. One Love Organics uses a proprietary blend of ingredients found in nature including therapeutic essential oils, fruit and plant extracts and oils to compose the fragrances.
