What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Warm 1-2 pumps between hands and apply to dry face. Add warm water and massage into a delicate milk. Rinse clean. May also be used with a cotton square to remove makeup, no water or rinsing required.

Pro-tip

For a deeper cleanse and light exfoliation, apply to skin, then press a warm washcloth to face and let cool. Rinse and repeat.

"I wanted to love this cleansing oil. However, the scent is incredibly strong and anything but sophisticated. It smells like kids’ candy and I genuinely found it nauseating first thing in the morning. I typically use Aesop products, so perhaps I’m accustomed to more subtle botanical fragrances, but this was overwhelmingly sweet and artificial to my nose. Unfortunately, it stung my eyes almost immediately while removing mascara. After rinsing, my eyes felt irritated and uncomfortable, which is not what I expect from a product designed to be used around the eye area."

Is it okay to use this like a regular face cleanser and not follow up with another cleanser?
Hello! Yes, for sure! If you wear heavy makeup or SPF, we recommend a double cleanse, but it is certainly not always necessary :)

Hi! The fragrance/parfum is not a synthetic fragrance. One Love only uses ECOCERT certified blends of 100% natural origin. One Love Organics uses a proprietary blend of ingredients found in nature including therapeutic essential oils, fruit and plant extracts and oils to compose the fragrances.
