What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Staple for 3+ years!

"I have used Rake for going on 3 years now and will continue using it--smell, texture, definition, moisture is SO good. I live in a dry climate that has cold winters/hot summers that can wreak havoc on hair and this has consistently helped maintain moisture in my dry wave/curly hair."

Rake is a forever staple

"I love the smell of all of Reverie's products. I've been using Rake for years to style by bangs and give definition and shape to my wavy shag hairstyle. You can use it wet or dry. This will always be in my drawer."

Tara (5/5)

Love this product

"Adds cool texture and definition when I apply to damp hair and heat style. Smells incredible."

Marisa C. (5/5)

Great balm

"Great for reducing frizz in my hair. Keeps hair shiny and wavy after applying in wet hair. I allow my hair to air dry. Seems good taming the wirey grey hairs."

Husband won’t use anything else

"Never really loved the old hair product my husband used and was lucky enough to pop into Credo to get this recommendation. 5+ years later and it’s the only thing he’ll use! Gives some body without being crunchy or greasy and smells subtle but fantastic. 10/10 would recommend!"

Hannah B. (5/5)

Love it!

"I have alternated between Rake and Éclat Naturel by Leonor Greyl for several years, as they work similarly, but I love Rake! I mostly use it to break up the cast of the gel, but sometimes on it's own when I just want a little texture. It's also great when I choose to brush out my 2b/2c hair (for volume), as it subtly defines the waves for a more "old Hollywood" look."

Virginia (5/5)

Absolute Best

"Keeps hair slicked back, glossy, no flakes, layerable with other products."
