An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

"I bought this to replace the toner that is no longer available and for the added moisture this would contain, but it doesn't seem to do either. It is similar to the hydrating mist, but that works better in the spray bottle. It doesn't seem to even out skin tone or help with pores like the toner did, so I will not be re-purchasing."

Would you use this instead of a Vitamin C product?
The Microbiome Enzyme Essence and Vitamin C Booster serve different purposes but can be used together. The Essence supports the skin barrier, gently exfoliates, and boosts hydration, while the Vitamin C Booster focuses on brightening, reducing dark spots, and providing antioxidant protection. For brightening, choose the Vitamin C Booster. For strengthening and hydration, go with the Essence. They can also be used together for full benefits.
I&#x27;m currently using vitamin C boost mixed with clear Pure Radiance oil in the evenings. Would this product replace the C boost?
Hi Angela, the Vitamin C Booster needs to be dissolved into a water-based product, such as the Chebula Serum or Microbiome Enzyme Essence for best results. You could add 2 shakes of the Vitamin C Booster to the Microbiome Enzyme Essence, however we recommend patch testing this combination first, as those with sensitive skin may not be able to tolerate the micro-exfoliants and Vitamin C at the same time.
Should this be used before, after, or in place of toner?
Hi Dana, we recommend using the Microbiome Enzyme Essence after using our Clear Toner!
Can this product be used instead of a hylauronic acid serum?
Hi Jennie, we recommend using the Renew Microbiome Enzyme Essence with your serum! After cleansing, apply the essence and then follow with your Hyaluronic Acid Serum for glowy, hydrated skin.
How do you use with vitamin c , chebula and retinol! Thanks
We recommend applying the Renew Microbiome Enzyme Essence after cleansing skin, and following with serum and then moisturizer. As some members of our community have sensitive skin, we recommend alternating Vitamin C and Retinol each night.
