What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

All of our products are made with natural ingredients, because of this some separation may occur. We recommended stirring the Royal Tulip Nectar with the Tulip Spatula before use.
Last step in your night time routine (Slugging): Scoop less than a pea-sized amount. Warm with fingertips to melt the honey-like texture into a serum, and gently press until the Nectar sinks into your skin.

Rapid moisturize mask: Apply to clean, damp skin. Scoop a heaped spatula and spread evenly across the skin, wipe away with a warm damp cloth.

"I was turned onto this moisturizer in store by Megan - I explained that my skin had been feeling weighted & congested & my routine was with tallow. I have dry skin that is sensitive, likes deep moisture, but needs build up to be exfoliated. This is the absolute perfect adjustment to my routine. I like the texture, more of a gel that provides deep, all day hydration with a light glow. It does have a denser feeling on the skin which I love, but could be too much for some. I’m in love."

Wow! Works for oily/combo skin too.

"I heard about this stuff from a friend and all I have to say is that I am sorry I didn't buy it sooner. Since day 1, I have been getting compliments on my skin after using it. I use it in the morning as part of my gua sha routine, at night (sparingly) on the skin around my eyes (like an eye cream) and on my forehead where I'm starting to develop a fine line. It's lovely stuff (thick!) and glides with moisture- so use a nice face mist or distilled water to mist on your skin when using it- and prepare to slip-and-slide with your gua sha tool. Any excess in the morning goes on my elbows, hands and knees so nothing gets wasted. I finish by wiping off with a warm, wet cloth and applying the Bloomeffects Vitamin C Facial Oil. Just, wow! Never change this product, it's gold!"

Game changer for winter / dry skin

"This is my second jar of royal tulip nectar and it has been life-changing. I have extremely dry skin that is especially angry post-procedure and I’m always so glad to have this product on hand. You only need a minuscule amount (less than half a pea for me) and I recommend either melting it into damp skin or dampening the skin with a toner and mixing this into a slurry with a little more toner and then massaging it in. It can feel gross if you over do it or place it right on top of dry skin and finding the best application took a little trial and error. I now follow it with two moisturizers and it along with those keeps my skin really hydrated. I get compliments all the time!"
