An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.

Usage

Shake the bottle well and dispense a generous amount into palms. Smooth onto face + neck with your fingers 15 minutes before sun exposure. Apply as the last step in your skincare routine, layer under makeup as a protective base, or wear solo for simple SPF.

"For no makeup days this has become my favorite item. The formula doesn’t irritate my delicate, rosacea prone skin. The tint is subtle so even though it’s a tiny bit darker than my skin it isn’t noticeable. AND no break outs unlike literally everything other face spf I’ve tried. Bravo Ilia!"

Gave me a terrible allergic reaction -- lingering, itchy rash all over face

"I'm so tired of "natural" brands loading up on unnecessary ingredients that are known to cause allergic reactions. I had recurring skin rashes and finally linked it to this product. Of course by the time I isolated it, the return window has closed from sephora. Please remove this product and reformulate it! Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Bud Extract looks like an especially likely culprit for the allergic reaction that I & others have experienced."

"Love this sunscreen! It's the best I have ever used. Goes on very easily and stays put absorbing any oils for a whole day. Gives a nice natural finish. Just a little Ilia blush and mascara and you're good to go! It's pricey for the size but I would buy it again."
