What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Use as the last step in your skincare routine or after primer. Apply liberally and evenly all over face and neck with fingers*. Wear alone or follow with foundation. Reapply every 2 hours. *Use the two-finger method to accurately measure out the amount of sunscreen needed for your face and neck. Simply squeeze two lines of sunscreen directly onto your index and middle finger from base to tip.

"This is a tint-rich formulation. Sometimes I notice a slight shimmer (but maybe that's the zinc?) definitely gives a nice layer of protection and creates an even skin tone. Any sunscreen I don't hate wearing regularly is win for me. I also have a lighter weight formula and the Marie Veronique un-tinted sunscreen which feels heavier so this is a medium-feel on the skin and one that is in the rotation now (second bottle)."

"I like that this is not matte. It's moisturizing and goes on nicely. This color was a little dark for me so I got the lighter shade and mix the two before applying. I also have the ColorScience tinted sunscreen but it is a little too matte for my taste."

Great Balance but may cause breakouts

"I love this product. I was recommended by it from a Credo staff member when I was looking for a glowy evening cream that doesn't have the same heaviness and matte appearance as typical foundation. Bonus that it is SPF- so I put it under my eyes and on my nose almost everyday and definitely evens out my skin. The only downside is that I notice I can break out if I wear it too consistently on my forehead- I'm not really prone to break-outs anymore but I do have sensitive skin"
