What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Hold the mascara brush at the base of your lashes and gently wiggle the wand back and forth and then sweep up and through to the tips.

To remove tubing mascara, simply wet your lashes with warm water and gently wipe away the mascara tubes with a soft cloth or your fingertips.

"I have extremely sensitive eyes, wear contacts, am a crybaby, and work out heavily. I love that this mascara stays put, does not irritate my eyes, takes a few quick swipes, and the "tubing" formulation is reliable. It's easy to wipe off an eyelid or remove completely when I wash my face without any tugging or rubbing. The refillable aspect makes me feel less bad about buying packaged makeup. I wish I could send back the refill tubes but grateful for the ability to just buy a refill. It's been rare that I've repurchased a mascara twice or more before a formula or brand was discontinued over the years. I will buy this for the rest of my life as long as they keep making it!"

One of the best clean "waterproof" mascaras

"I like this but don't love it. Really wanted to switch to clean mascara. This is definitely one of the better ones. Not loving this, but I had the container so felt like I should use the refill! Wish the container was smaller and not so bulky, uncomfortable to use. Also not really waterproof- it does flake and come off a bit, but again, compared to most clean mascaras, it's one of the better ones."

HOLY GRAIL

"I love love love this mascara - the “waterproofing” lasts great with cold water (pools, ocean) but comes off smoothly with warm water. I always avoided waterproof mascaras because of how intensely they would adhere to the lashes but then a Credo employee recommended this one and I’ve used nothing else since! It glides on like butter and lengthens my lashes to the max. I will say it’s a little too liquidy at first so requires a bit more application, but after a couple weeks it hits the sweet spot and you’ll be able to double the length of your lashes with just a few strokes."
