What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Using the applicator tip, dot or swipe the color on your eye where desired and then tap and blend with your fingers or a brush.
Use alone for a quick polished eye that lasts all day or use as a primer under other cream and powder shadows to extend wear and minimize creasing.

Pro-tip

Use multiple liquid shadows at once for brightening, definition, and contouring:
- Use Linen as an all over brightener or in the inner corners for wide awake eyes
- Dusty Rose or Driftwood blended across the lid and into the crease provides soft color that's instantly polished.
- Chocolate across the lid gives the fastest smoky eye.
All colors can be used on the lower and upper lash line for definition as well.

Very nice feel and result

"I hate when eyeshadow bleeds or creases, so as soon as I saw this, I had to try it. It blurs the eyelid so nicely and looks like my real eyelid only brighter. I bought the bone shade and think of it like a concealer for my eyelid. My only qualm is that it doesn't look like makeup, which is usually a good thing but I like to dress up my eyes with a bit of color so next time I'm buying the blush shade. A little shimmer would be nice too. I saw written that you can use it as a baseline which I might try. No issues with eye sensitivity for me with this product. Love the ingredients."

Pretty colors, but challenging to work with on my lids.

"First of all, I love MOB Beauty's products and its mission. The liquid eyeshadows are gorgeous and easier to apply with a brush than with my finger. My issue is with the formula's staying power and how it interacts with other eye cosmetics. I was told by MOB to not use skincare on my lids before applying the liquid eyeshadow, but that left me with concerns about sun protection. I tried the product both with an eye primer (UD Primer Potion in Eden) and without and without skincare. While I think using the primer gave some additional staying power I didn't notice a huge difference. Maybe it's just my eyelids (I'm not sure if they're too oily or too partially hooded) but I haven't figured out how to make the product last longer. In addition, applying the cake liner or a pencil eyeliner over the eyeshadow to my lashline makes the liner smudge and fade like crazy. I notice that later on in the day not only has the eyeshadow creased but the liner pigment is in my creases with the shadow, making a strange color. I really want to like this product and make it work for me, so if anyone has suggestions I'm happy to try them."
