Cake Theory is a one-of-a-kind formula that moisturizes, heals, shines, blurs, reduces fine lines, reduces hyperpigmentation, reduces fordyce spots, and never sticks. This oil has a non-sticky and cushiony feel on the lips. Inspired by color filters, and using color theory, these oils even out lip tones by “neutralizing” light and dark spots. The shade Melted Butter is great for two-toned lips, dark spots, smoker’s lips, and freckles, while the shade Browning is great for two-toned lips, fordyce, and pink spots. Cake Theory is clinically proven to hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier with each wear, clinically forms a protective film against dryness, and clinically protects, nourishes and moisturizes lips.

What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Twist off the cap and remove the applicator from the tube.
Take the wand and swipe across your top and bottom lip.
Apply as many or little layers as you need.
Allow oil to absorb into the lips on its own.

"This soft, "brown" is universally flattering--I say this because I have three-toned lips: pale pink, plum, dark plum. It's like I'm three people at the same time and finding a flattering, polished lip look from one product dan be a chore. No longer! My lips definitely feel as though there's a treatment going on when I wear this. One teensy complaint: the product does migrate onto the neck of the bottle when closed (it's an oil so perhaps to be expected or at least tolerated). That said, do not store in a silk cosmetics pouch. Use another kind of cosmetics organizer for your bag."
