What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Apply mascara as the last step in your makeup routine.
Dip wand into container, wipe excess mascara on the rim and apply in upward strokes to the underside of your lashes. Apply several layers on top lashes to build color, and a single layer to bottom lashes.

Heavy formula, bad packaging

"It's a drier formula that flattens my lashes (which are not naturally flat). But the worst part for me is the packaging. Why oh why did they make the tube opening so tiny?! It squeezes all the product out of the brush when you insert it, and the goopy mess left on top stresses me out. I've never experienced this with any other mascara. Also, it requires a lot more scrubbing than I prefer, even with an oil cleanser. I usually use mascaras that come off easily with water, so I don't have a dedicated makeup remover, nor do I want one. For reference I'm referring to the brown mascara- I'm not sure if the formula differs by color"

"I don’t have any issues with irritation when I use this mascara and it’s the most true brown mascara I’ve been able to find.
