What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

With either fingertips or brushes, apply vertical pressure; think pressing, rather than just swiping. The color transfers and applies much better this way. And unlike traditional pressed eye shadows, you don′t have to be delicate with your Eye Soots as the product can′t crack or shatter.

Rituel de Fille is inspired by the magical side of natural ingredients, where pigment is elemental, ceremonial and powerful. Rituel de Fille's lipsticks, lip sheers, eye soots and cream blushes are all carefully handcrafted for uniquely bold, lasting color. Every Rituel de Fille color is obsessively formulated in-house by the Ramos sisters to meet our exacting standards. We approach our formulation like potion-making: we carefully select each pigment, oil and wax for a clear purpose, and develop each color from the ground up to contain the fewest possible ingredients. We use nothing extraneous, and avoid fillers.

"I decided to splurge on this product because I've seen such good reviews (especially about the shade half light) and it's absolutely gorgeous. This is definitely a new staple for me because of how well the shade works for me as a one and done. It's fairly emollient, so it works well on my dry skin -- but even I noticed that it gathered a little in my lids during a very warm cocktail hour I attended recently, but all I had to do was pat it out and it went back to looking perfect. It feels very low maintenance for as pretty as the impact is."

"It's not really cream-to-powder, but it's somehow a moist powder. Not sure how to describe it exactly, but it's fantastic. Applies smoothly, and can be sheered out or built up, does not crease (I do use eyelid primer). The sheen is dimensional, not glittery. I have five different shades; it's one of my favorite eyeshadows."
