What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

What Goes Up Comes Down Quickly

"Why is it such a challenge to find a good clean fragrance that doesn’t have a chemically synthetic scent or causes a skin reaction? I’m almost tempted to resort back to toxic fragrances. I had high hopes for this brand based on the notes descriptions, and I do appreciate discovery sets for that ability to test. The packaging is great—a simple minimalist design and easy to read font. I tested out all eight at first to narrow down the immediate yes/maybes and absolutely nots. Of all eight, only 3 made it to the maybe/yes list. The rest were way too artificial and potent, with a weird cheap base. But here’s the kicker. After opening up the sample box, and testing them out, about three days later (or less), I came back to officially test our the maybes on my body and every single one had turned rancid. I even tested the nos on my hand, oof. They went sour real fast, and considering they barely smelled good, it was not a good mix. I tossed them out as is and lost $40ish on another disappointment. Even though I get a skin rash from DedCool scents, it’s the only brand in the clean realm whose fragrances don’t smell chemically or synthetic."
