An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.

"actually my top 3 favorite mascara's of all time. the wand is INCREDIBLE. the way the silicone seperates the lashes naturally and gives them such a seamless and light coat while still looking long and thick is perfection. i love a more "natural" mascara look as opposed to it looking like ive coated my eyes in paint and this truly does the trick so flawlessly. it's my 4th tube of the travel size one since i just keep adding it to my travel bag but reaching for it for every day use lol"

A pleasant shift from traditional mascara

"This is the one clean mascara that finally got me to give up my beloved Loreal Voluminous after 15+ years of consistent use. It's certainly more subtle, but buildable since it's a tubing mascara. I also realized brown looks much better on me, and this runs warm vs cool, which I prefer. I only deducted one point because anytime my eyes are teary (eg allergies), this gets in the eyes and stings, which is a trade-off for no longer using true waterproof (albeit non-clean) mascara."
