What is an undertone?
An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:
Pink/Cool
I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.
Neutral
I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.
Yellow/Warm
I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Laura and Connie started Three Ships in 2017 from a humble apartment kitchen and only $4,000. We were frustrated with the state of the beauty industry - overpriced products, green-washing, misleading claims and millions of tons of plastic waste created every year. We knew there had to be a better way, so we set out to create the world’s most transparent, effective, and sustainable natural skincare. We believe you don’t need a fortune or a 12-step skincare routine to have happy, healthy skin. So all of our award-winning products are under $40 USD, certified cruelty-free and vegan, made with 100% natural ingredients, and formulated by world-class chemists that solve real customer skin problems. Our products prove that great discoveries can be made with limited resources, and that a convoy of complicated products isn’t necessary when you use naturally-effective ones.
