What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

For immediate glow, apply a thick layer of the Resurfacing Mask on a clean face. Leave for 20 to 30 minutes (10 minutes is recommended for sensitive skin). Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use once a week for normal skin, or up to three times a week for oil and blemish control. As a spot treatment, apply a small dab on blemish and leave overnight; reapply as necessary.

Pro-tip

Get a glow boost with the Glow Getter: polish dry skin with Regenerating Cleanser and apply a thick layer of Resurfacing Mask on top. Let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water. Your skin will glow for days!

Helpful little mask for dry, winter skin

"I bought this to help with my extra dry skin during the unusually cold winter. I'm sensitive to fragrance and was concerned as some of Tata Harper's products are overly scented for my taste. Not a problem with this mask. It does make my skin glow. My only issue is that I just can't figure out how much to use. Sometimes I think I use too little, sometimes too much. The learning curve is really steep as the texture is a jelly that doesn't seem to distribute the way I expect. Perhaps it spreads differently from day to day based on the ambient air temperature or the temperature of my hands, but I feel like I am wasting product trying to figure out how much I need and at this price, I wish it was more intuitive based. But I can definitely see improvements in my skin."

"I love the vegan and cruelty free brand Tata Harper and I was more than happy to try this mask. The resurfacing mask by Tata Harper. From the packaging to the product, this brand uses sustainable products that you can feel good about using. The mask is a BHA + Enzyme Brightening Mask with botanicals like pomegranate and lemongrass. The scent is a lovely floral combination. I found the 20 minute mask to be a tad long, and I think that pink clay is a tad drying. I still loved the experience, and I loved the overall texture of this mask. My skin felt tighter after use but also softer. It stays like a gel and does not dry or flake off as far as texture goes. I used this twice during a week to keep my skin balanced, brighter, and pores smaller after use."

"This whole line of Tata Harper is so luxurious and beautiful. When I initially saw the price points I thought it was more on the pricey side, but I see why now.
