What is an undertone?
An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:
Pink/Cool
I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.
Neutral
I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.
Yellow/Warm
I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage
Best applied to towel-dry, damp hair. First emulsifying the product into your palms and spread to your fingers, then apply evenly to head and hair. Style with your hands for a natural look or comb through for a more stylized look.
Pro-tip
Ideal for fine, naturally oily hair, the clay counter-acts the oil and leaves a matte, dry finish, while thickening hair by adding volume.

For husband and wife duo, Ryan and Beatrice Gonzalez, who founded Church California and Church Barber in 2017, “CHURCH” represents the feeling when everything is in unison, in harmony, in a state of flow. Church California’s “church” is in nature, seeking earthly creations, trusting in the world’s natural ingredients to heal our bodies - all Church products are plant and Earth made. Church Barber’s “church” is the barber shop; it’s an offering of a space where every detail is considered, where customers and community can experience the ritual of grooming in a place that inspires them.
