EcoBrow Brow Defining Wax

This Product Is: a defining, shaping brow wax

Good For: shaping, filling in and defining brows

Why We Love It: EcoBrow Brow Wax blends and diffuses easily into brow hair. Silica helps absorb excess oil and vitamin E helps nourish brows and skin. The user friendly formulation allows you to easily control shade intensity from light to dark.

Shop Brow Wax in four shades:

Marilyn: for platinum, golden, and strawberry blonde hair. Fleshy taupe with a hint of gold does not turn red or orange. For fair-skinned brunettes and all shades of blonde. Think: Gwen Stefani, Meryl Streep and Kate Hudson.

Rita: for auburn, ginger, and strawberry red hair. This shade caters specifically to redheads – from the lightest to the richest shade of red. Think: Julianne Moore, Jessica Chastain and Christina Hendricks.

Sharon: for dark blonde, light and medium ash brown hair. Soft, ash brown for cool brunettes. Think: Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Alba.

Penelope: for chestnut to medium brown hair. A brown with NO red and the most universal shade in the brand. Penelope works for brunettes, but also for blondes wishing to give brows extra attention. Think: Sofia Vergara, Angelina Jolie and Eva Mendes.

Liz: for chocolate to dark brown hair. A deeper version of Penelope, it caters to women of all skin tones with dark hair. Think: Zoe Saldana, Salma Hayek and Mila Kunis.

Frida: for natural black hair. A black with gray undertones and NO brown. Think: Monica Bellucci, Lupita Nyong'o and Lily Collins.

Using the EcoBrow Defining Brush, lightly dab the angle side of the brush with wax and apply onto brows using short hair-like strokes. Apply more as needed. Then use the spooley side to brush brows upward and blend wax perfectly.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils

Authentic essential oils are physically extracted by steam or expression (cold pressing) of the skin of the fruit. Essential oils have not been chemically altered (via reaction, solvent extraction) from their natural state.

Certified Organic Fragrance

Certified Organic Fragrance

A blend of essential oils (see above) derived from plants that are grown in accordance with the USDA National Organic Program.

Natural Fragrance

Natural Fragrance

Natural fragrances are mixtures of aromatic raw materials. As opposed to a whole essential oil found in a plant, these chemicals are physically isolated from natural compounds, then blended together to create a scent. If only natural isolates are used, companies can declare the scent “natural.”

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Fragrance ingredients that have been extracted using solvents (alcohol, petrochemicals, vegetable oils), or extracted by fermentation, or ingredients which may have a natural component but have been significantly processed.

Synthetic Fragrance

Unfragranced/Unscented

Ingredients which are new molecules, made in a laboratory. The majority of synthetic constituent ingredients are from petroleum byproducts. Synthetic “nature-identical” ingredients fall into this category as well. Credo allows synthetic fragrances as long as there are no Dirty List components.

What's Behind "Fragrance"?

US law does not require that companies be transparent about the ingredients in fragrance/parfum. Credo believes in your right-to-know. We require all brands to categorize the fragrance in each product (see chart above), and encourage brands to fully disclose all scent ingredients.

All products are cruelty-free and formulated without ingredients on The Dirty List™️. At Credo, "clean" goes even deeper. Learn more.

Marco Ochoa, Ecobrow founder, spent 11 years as an expert brow threader and celebrity makeup artist, but he felt there was something missing. “Through my research I discovered that there were only a few natural brow lines on the market — mostly pencils or powders — and my concern was that they either looked too ashy or too fake, neither of which are acceptable.” When Marco began work on his own line, he knew he had to arrive at a universal product that matched every skin tone, stayed true to his philosophy of responsible, eco-conscious beauty and lived up to the standards of the best makeup artists in the world. The result is the Ecobrow Defining Wax, Marco’s own mineral-based, smudge-proof, paraben-free brow line.
