What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Best concealer ever!

"I have tried most concealers out there, thanks to my very dark undereye circles. I usually am left feeling let down. This concealer works great, it's good coverage but not cakey or fine line enhancing. It's got great coverage. Lasts, and keeps my undereye area looking fresh. The color was great too! 5W was perfect for my light-medium neutral leaning warm skin. (I'm a soft autumn). It was not too yellow at all, which is a problem I have typically when getting into light-medium shades."

Very Lightweight!

"I have been impressed by how lightweight this concealer is. It provides very skin-like coverage that I appreciate on most days when I don't want anything too thick or dramatic. I am using it both under my eyes and also to cover dark spots around my face. I am of a neutral undertone and happy that the shades do not run yellow, as has been my experience with a lot of other concealers. Shade 11w works great under my eyes and I have also started using 12N to cover spots around my face. Really enjoying it!"

Perfect everyday concealer!

"Been using this everyday day since I got it last week and absolutely love it! The formula is so creamy and easily blendable—I like using my fingers to blend and it just melts into the skin, but I’ve tried layering with a brush and it’s buildable to a solid medium coverage. I usually don’t set it with powder, but it still lasts all day through 12+ hr hospital shifts! I think I have a light-medium skin tone with neutral/maybe olive undertones. I got shade 6O and it’s a great match for me! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new everyday concealer :)"

Amazing, Hydrating concealer

"I love the texture of this concealer. It is so light and hydrating. It melts right into my skin with little effort. The coverage is light to begin with, but can we build up to a medium if you let it dry down/add more layers. It doesn't cake or crease. I set it with a little powder, and it lasts amazingly well. It also performs impressively on the complexion, so you could totally use this as a one-and-done if you wanted. Only think I got the shade 6 O, which is not very olive, so I am not sure if it is mislabeled. I may also pick up shade 7."

Beautiful product

"This is what has been missing from my routine, a concealer with enough slip and coverage to be used all over the face without looking like a heavy foundation or full coverage concealer. I got 2 shades, one for summer and one for winter and both are PERFECT. I find myself going between fair and light and 3n is perfect for that, however I can lean warm/yellow so 5w works for summer. I can almost do a whole face of soshe now :)"

great component & texture!

"I got an early peek at this concealer and I love (LOVE!) the component of it--not only does it feature a great (medium-thick, perfectly-angled) doe-foot applicator that picks up the perfect amount of product each time but it has a VERY satisfying click upon twisting closed. I love how it wears as well--I found that it did not emphasize texture (wrinkles or pores), with or without powder setting. I would call it medium and buildable coverage, which is exactly my preference, and I have used it mostly under my eyes but also to cover sunspots or to even out skin color. My only request for the Soshe Team is to add more colors soon, especially in the cool/neutral range. This was 3N and it's close to perfect but a tiny bit light. I'm excited about the Olive offerings for all my green friends, though!"

Finally found my perfect concealer!

"I have been looking for this type of concealer for ages! I am 62 and have wrinkles around my mouth and at times dry patches. I keep my make up simple and really hate the feel and look of foundation/. This concealer is it for me! I use it under my eyes and to even out my skin. Coverage is buildable but I found I didn’t need much. I tested it out when I knew I had a long day and would be wearing it for at least 12 hours. Every time I looked at my face during the day I loved seeing the soft glow from the concealer. Not shiny at all. Just a healthy glow: At the end of the day I was thrilled to see there was no creasing under my eyes or around my mouth. Everything was just beautifuly blurred. Perfection! I didn’t set it with powder. My skin tends to be dry so I do avoid powder. But this concealer didn’t need to be set— for me. I purchased the light neutral color and it was a perfect match. My search for this kind of concealer is over!"

An Under eye's Best Friend

"The new Soshe Ectoin Multi-Use Concealer is about to be my most grabbed concealer. The formula is thicker, but blends out like a dream. I use a brush to blend it rather than a beauty blender and find that I don't need to let it sit before blending like I do with other creamier concealers. My only negative about the concealer is the size of the applicator. It's thicker and wider than most doe-footed brushes making it hard to limit the amount of product when using under the eyes. Since this is a thicker concealer, you don't need a lot and I find myself struggling to get the perfect amount. I'm in my early 30s with combination skin and have not experienced any issues with pilling or caking despite the thicker consistency. It last all day and I love the shade range! Formula is a 10/10 - applicator is the only reason this review isn't a full 5 star."
