An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Massage onto clean, damp skin using circular motions; leave on for up to three minutes.

Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Use two to three times per week.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists or an allergic reaction occurs, rinse off immediately, discontinue use, and consult a physician. Keep out of reach of children.

Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin′s sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterward.

Pricey, but worth it

"I recently received a sample of this and, based on my experience, I plan to buy. I usually go a little overboard with products like these because I don't feel like I get the results I want otherwise. Not so with this. It only takes the smallest amount worked into the skin for about 30 seconds, and I only leave it on the prescribed 2-3 minutes. I do this 2-3x per week and my skin is wonderfully smooth. I previously used the Goldfaden MD Doctor's Scrub, but it does require more product and the grain is coarser, so it started to feel a little harsh. This is more than 3x the price of the Goldfaden scrub, but it does seem like it will last a while."

It's a new dual-action microderm exfoliator that delivers the benefits of both physical and chemical exfoliation. It is an intense physical exfoliator with a low level of AHA (glycolic acid) to enhance performance and provide an option for those that find higher levels of AHA irritating to their skin. It features a blend of 4 powerful microcrystals and mineral exfoliants densely packed into a light, air-whipped formula. The Goop x Juice Beauty Exfoliating Instant Facial has less physical exfoliation and provides more chemical exfoliation. It uses a single physical exfoliator made ofplantcellulose with a blend of 6 AHA's (salicylic, tartaric, malic, lactic, glycolic, and citric acids).
