What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Using fingers, brush or a sponge, blend into skin. Apply to under eye area to cover dark circles or wherever any extra coverage is desired. For dehydrated skin, prep skin with beauty oil. For oily skin types, follow with “Un”powder for a long, lasting matte finish.

Disappointing.

"This was so expensive and had raving reviews so I expected good quality. Unfortunately it's way too yellow (even though I got one for neutral undertones) and it's too drying and cakey. If you have dry skin like me it will immediately cake and settle into your fine lines before you even get to the powder stage. I tried using moisturizer and even eye primer underneath and it still caked up hard. It might be ok for dark spots or blemishes on flat parts of the face but it's terrible under the eye. Regardless I am not sure if I will continue using it due to the fact that it just makes my face yellow."

Hello! Vapour's Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation is a beautiful foundation that also lets your skin breathe. They also make a great Illusionist Concealer, it's nice because you can match the shades of the foundation to the concealer quite easily.
