What is an undertone?

An undertone is the color beneath the surface of your skin, which never changes (even with a tan). There are three types of undertones:

Pink/Cool

I see red or pink undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin burns easily, but barely tans.
My skin looks better in silver jewelry than gold.

Neutral

I see both pink and yellow undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin sometimes burns and sometimes tans.
My skin looks good in both gold and silver jewelry.

Yellow/Warm

I see yellow or golden undertones around the perimeter of my face and neck.
My skin rarely burns, but tans easily.
My skin looks better in gold jewelry than silver.

Usage

Start by lining the Cupid’s bow (the center of your top lip), ensuring balance. Slightly overline if you want extra volume.

Trace outward along the natural edge of your lips to meet the corners.

Define the bottom lip, starting at the center and working outward.

Fill in your lips using the serum.

Sharpen liner as needed for clean, precise lines.

Pro-tip

If bolder color is desired, completely fill in lips using the liner before filling with the serum.

"This lip pencil is a soft pink that goes with pretty much everything I wear. It glides on really smoothly and blends easily, so I can keep it subtle or build it up when I want more definition. "I am in love with this lip combo. I got lip liner in shade Háblame and lip serum in shade Rosa 02. The lip liner is creamy and feels nice. This product is very pigmented and long lasting. The color is slightly brighter than I usually use but as a combo with this lip serum looks so so good! The lip serum is now my favorite! It’s hydrating, long lasting and absolutely not sticky. This product feels really nice on my lips. I am very satisfied how this combo looks on me and how it feels during the day!"

"Love this lip duo from Aora Makeup for my summer lip combo. The color soft rosa is a pinky mauve, so its the perfect pinky neutral color to elevate my everyday makeup look and make it a little more girly. "The Aora lip liner (Hablame Rosa. 05) and serum (Rosa. 02) are a gorgeous rosy duo. The lip liner is a warm pink that glides on my lips so easily. It's a darker pink, which sculpts my lips perfectly. The lip gloss serum is a hydrating sheer light pink. The squalane and hyaluronic acid makes my lips feel so smooth and moisturized! "I am loving these new lip combo products from Aora Mexico. I have been trialling Soft Rosa for over a week now and I'm so impressed with them. "I really enjoyed this combo of lip serum and lip liner. The colors are beautiful. The lip serum is a really pretty nude color that does turn your lips more rosy. The lip liner compliments the serum very well and they can really be worn together perfectly. I wish the serum was a little more hydrating. The price point is a bit high given the size of the products and the fact that the serum does not hydrate your lips that well. But the colors are high quality and subtle but lovely. The packaging is sleek and cute."
