Holiday Makeup Looks and Trends to Try This Holiday Season
Who’s ready for a little glitz and glamor this holiday season? We’re sooo ready to embrace holiday makeup trends like never before. We’re excited that beauty is back in full swing this holiday season with stunning shades of red lipstick, dazzling eyeshadows, and bashful blush.

The holidays look different for everyone. But what we can all count on is you want to look and feel your best at all the holiday soirees! We have holiday makeup looks for whatever the holiday season throws your way. Check out these three holiday eye makeup looks that all pair nicely with a festive, red holiday lip!

Soft Sultry Eyes
When you think of classic holiday makeup looks it’s easy to recall the iconic look of Marilyn Monroe. Light neutral shades of cream on the eyes with a layer of volumizing mascara

This holiday makeup look can be achieved by basing the eye in a shade of concealer that is a couple of shades lighter than your skin. Apply the concealer in a thin layer from your top lash line up to and across your brow bone. This technique neutralizes the eyelid and preps it for eye shadow. Next, take a similar creamy shade of eyeshadow and tap it on top of the concealer to set it in place.

From there, take a shade of light brown matte eyeshadow with a fluffy eyeshadow brush and apply it to the crease of the eye! This will add a subtle dimension while keeping the look light and natural.

Throw on several layers of volumizing mascara and you have instant glam! If you want more intensity, you can bump up the look by adding a deep brown eyeliner at the root of the lash.

The last step is to add a flesh toned eye pencil in the waterline of your lower eyelid. This makes the eyes look bright and refreshed!

Holiday smokey eyes
Smokey eyes are great because the technique is actually quite simple. You can create this holiday eye makeup look using any shade of eyeshadow blended all the way around the eye. We particularly love a bronzey smokey eye because it looks incredible on all skin tones.

Start by applying a bronze or brown eyeliner to the waterline (aka inner rim) of the eye. The key is to apply LOTS of eyeliner so the pigment is nice and rich. This will make the whites of your eyes look more intensely white!

The next step is eyeshadow. Using a dense eyeshadow brush, with a tapping motion apply whatever shade of bronze eyeshadow you like all over the eyelid, stopping at the crease. Using a smaller “pencil” brush, smudge the same eyeshadow color along your lower lash line.

With the same pencil brush, use a matte shade of brown eyeshadow that’s slightly deeper than your skin tone. Blend that shade into your crease and down into the lower lash line to soften the edges.

Finish the look with a couple layers of mascara and your smokey eye dreams have come true.

Sparkle Party Eyes
Holiday eyes show their true form when it comes to sparkle and shine! Like festive star light twinkling across your eyes, this look takes holiday glam to new heights.

With a dense eyeshadow brush, start off the look by applying a beautiful cranberry shade to the outer half of your eyelid. Make sure the shade does not extend past the crease of your eye.

With the same brush, apply rose gold on the inner half to add a bright dimension. Adorn the look with a subtle twinkle by tapping a little sparkle over both shades using your finger tip. Apply whatever shade and style of eyeliner you like and a couple layers of mascara! Voila!

Classic Red Holiday Lips
We love a lip that can go with anything, and what says holiday makeup more than a classic yet iconic red lip? If you want holiday red lips that stay where you want them, follow these simple steps.

Pick up a red lip pencil and start by lining the outer edge of your lips to your liking. Once complete, fill in the rest of your lips with your red pencil. The matte formula will act like a lip primer and keep your other products in place.

Now, using a shade of matte red lipstick, apply one layer over the filled in lips. Take out a tissue and press it to the surface of the lips to remove any excess pigment.

From here you can add a gloss to give a haute couture shot of shine!
