Violet Paste Overnight Blemish Treatment

This Product Is: an overnight blemish treatment

Good For: all skin types, especially congested and blemish prone skin

Why We Love It: Plenaire Violet Paste Overnight Blemish Treatment helps to reduce blemishes overnight by drawing out excess oil and calming inflammation and redness. Inspired by a 70-year old French beauty recipe, this violet-tinted "vanishing" paste helps restore peace to your natural skin chemistry. Formulated with a special blend of azelaic acid to help refine and brighten, beta hydroxy acids to clarify, and zinc oxide to calm skin while keeping bacteria at bay.

Best used in the evening, after cleansing. With clean fingers, apply a thick layer to the affected area. Dries instantly into an absorbing paste. Can also be applied as a thin layer under makeup. For best results, follow with an 8oz glass of water and some extra rest. Works hard when combined with Tripler.

Essential Oils

Essential Oils

Authentic essential oils are physically extracted by steam or expression (cold pressing) of the skin of the fruit. Essential oils have not been chemically altered (via reaction, solvent extraction) from their natural state.

Certified Organic Fragrance

Certified Organic Fragrance

A blend of essential oils (see above) derived from plants that are grown in accordance with the USDA National Organic Program.

Natural Fragrance

Natural Fragrance

Natural fragrances are mixtures of aromatic raw materials. As opposed to a whole essential oil found in a plant, these chemicals are physically isolated from natural compounds, then blended together to create a scent. If only natural isolates are used, companies can declare the scent “natural.”

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Naturally-Derived Fragrance

Fragrance ingredients that have been extracted using solvents (alcohol, petrochemicals, vegetable oils), or extracted by fermentation, or ingredients which may have a natural component but have been significantly processed.

Synthetic Fragrance

Unfragranced/Unscented

Ingredients which are new molecules, made in a laboratory. The majority of synthetic constituent ingredients are from petroleum byproducts. Synthetic “nature-identical” ingredients fall into this category as well. Credo allows synthetic fragrances as long as there are no Dirty List components.

What's Behind "Fragrance"?

US law does not require that companies be transparent about the ingredients in fragrance/parfum. Credo believes in your right-to-know. We require all brands to categorize the fragrance in each product (see chart above), and encourage brands to fully disclose all scent ingredients.

All products are cruelty-free and formulated without ingredients on The Dirty List™️. At Credo, "clean" goes even deeper. Learn more.
