Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference between clean new body products and natural or organic options?
Organic body products and their ingredients are required to adhere to rigorous standards as per the USDA Organic program. On the other hand, natural body products, which do not have a legal definition, utilize natural or naturally derived components. Similarly, clean body products lack a formal legal definition. To address this, we have established The Credo Clean Standard™, which prohibits the use of more than 2700 ingredients known to have potentially harmful effects on human health and / or the environment, ensuring the safety and quality of our clean body products. -
What are some key ingredients to look for in clean body products?
Clean body products often contain natural and organic ingredients such as plant-based oils, butters, and extracts that provide nourishment and hydration to the skin. Some common examples of beneficial ingredients in clean body products include shea butter, hyaluronic acid, coconut oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and essential oils. These ingredients are known for their moisturizing properties and can also offer additional benefits such as anti-inflammatory or anti-aging effects. -
How do clean new body products contribute to environmental sustainability?
At Credo Beauty, we have a strong commitment to eco-friendly practices to mitigate the environmental impact of the beauty industry. Our new bath products adhere to our very own sustainability and packaging guidelines, prioritizing packaging made from recycled, recyclable or biodegradable materials. Moreover, our clean new body products are crafted without the use of harsh chemicals that can contaminate waterways during manufacturing and disposal processes. -
How effective are clean new body products in comparison to traditional alternatives?
Whether it’s a body cream, a body lotion, a body scrub, a luxurious shower cream or an uplifting shower gel, our clean new body products are just as results-driven as traditional alternatives - if not more so. They are formulated with natural and skin-kind ingredients that have been carefully selected for their efficacy and safety. Additionally, by being free from the ingredients on our Dirty List, our clean new bath products support long-term skin health rather than masking underlying issues with harsh and potentially damaging ingredients. -
Are clean new body products free from synthetic fragrances?
Both natural and synthetic fragrances can be deemed clean. This is because, in some cases, synthetic fragrances are more eco-friendly and offer strong safety profiles. However, we understand that some customers have a preference for natural fragrances. That's why all our scented body care products clearly display their fragrance type (in line with our Fragrance Transparency Policy). So, whether you’re after a beachy fragrance, a cozy winter fragrance, or a fresh fragrance, you can make an informed decision. -
How are clean new body products adapting to emerging consumer preferences or trends?
Consumers seek simplicity, time efficiency, and effective yet skin-friendly ingredients, driving brands to innovate. There's also a growing demand for transparency and ingredient traceability, which is a movement we're proud to champion at Credo Beauty - starting with our Fragrance Transparency Policy. As consumers are more aware of environmental and ethical concerns, there's also a greater push for sustainable and eco-friendly packaging. We're also pushing this movement in the industry by imposing strict cruelty-free standards as well as sustainability and packaging guidelines on the brands we carry.
